Over a million people in Israel have a criminal or police record originating from a criminal investigation opened against them. Even if the case is closed or proceedings are suspended, the existence of these records often poses a significant, sometimes insurmountable, obstacle to employment, community living, and more. Thus, an old record stemming from a one-time lapse can prevent many citizens from leading a normative lifestyle and fully integrating into society. Additionally, some wish to cancel the records just to feel they are not dragging a "stained" past behind them.
Attorney Leib provides professional legal advice in the field of the criminal registry, a unique and complex area, drawing from her extensive internal knowledge of Israel's law enforcement system.
