In Israel, approximately 16,000 divorce lawsuits are filed annually. The average time to conclude a divorce process in court ranges from one to three years, with the financial expense in court ranging from 100,000 to 300,000 ILS per party.
In divorce mediation, the process is much shorter and can take a few months, averaging between four to five meetings.
The joint financial expense averages around 15,000-20,000 ILS, and all decisions will be yours, not the lawyers' or the judge's.

In light of the development and professionalization of the mediation field in Israel, the enormous burden on the court system, and the recognition of the heavy price the family and children might pay in the legal process, more and more couples are considering turning to mediation outside the court.
