Abed Nashaf has 15 years of experience as a business and corporate attorney providing legal advice to local and foreign companies across a wide range of industries in cross-border transactions, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, financing, technology commercialization, and other general corporate work. He provides clients with legal counsel throughout the entire lifecycle of their business/company – from formation and structure, through the management of their ongoing legal affairs. His clients include international corporations, emerging growth companies, investors, entrepreneurs, and non-profit organizations.

Mr. Nashaf has specific expertise in the fields of technology and venture capital financing and has led numerous venture capital financing transactions (equity and debt) and the establishment of venture-backed startups both domestically and internationally (particularly in internet, mobile, digital health, insurtech, cyber, edutech, and others). He is also experienced in negotiating complex commercial agreements, including technology transfer, licensing, partnerships, distribution, and franchising agreements.

Mr. Nashaf was previously a partner at the international law firm Pearl Cohen Zedek Latzer Baratz, and prior to that, a senior partner in the international practice group of the law firm GKH. In 2013, he served as a senior legal advisor to UNCTAD, and before that, as in-house counsel for a multi-disciplinary investment company operating in countries across the MENA region. He holds an LL.B (Honors) from the University of Essex (2002).

Mr. Nashaf is active in several non-profit organizations in the fields of entrepreneurship and technology, including serving as a board member, and mentors several entrepreneurs and startups in the region in various forums. He also frequently lectures to diverse audiences on entrepreneurship, venture capital financing, and legal aspects of ventures.
