A graduate of the Tel Aviv branch of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (now the Faculty of Law at Tel Aviv University). Founded the firm in 1975 and has since continuously practiced in family and inheritance matters.
A member of the National Ethics Committee of the Israel Bar Association for many terms. Member of the Board of Directors of the Israel Bar Association.
From his teachings, many legal rulings and precedents have emerged, including many issued by the Supreme Court.
Adv. Tausig is recognized as a legal authority on professional liability of lawyers in family and inheritance matters.
Previously served as Chairman of the Legislation Committee for Family Matters of the Israel Bar Association. In this role, Adv. Michael Tausig participated in the discussions of the Constitution, Law and Justice Committee in the Knesset and was actively involved in the legislation of various laws, such as the Family Courts Law, 1995, which completely transformed the face of personal status law in Israel.
Formerly served as a member of the Appeals Committee in the composition of the District Court. Former member of the National Council of the Israel Bar Association. Former member of the Tel Aviv and Central District Committee of the Israel Bar Association.
Adv. Michael Tausig has authored several articles, including one co-authored with Judge Yehoshua Geyfman (formerly an intern and associate at the firm), published in the journal "HaPraklit" and dealing with the jurisdictional competition in proceedings for the dissolution of co-ownership in a couple's residential apartment.
