While Beit Din is meant to work in the best interest of the child, they seem to be completely insensitive to the facts on the ground, not taking the time to truly see what's happening in real time, in order to make decisions that benefit the child. They also have their biases and quickly shove one party into a box, and all subsequent decisions follow that prejudice. That's where Oshrit comes in. She constantly pushes the Beit Din to open their hearts and eyes to the reality of the situation. Standing side by side with the child, to fight for what's best for them. To give them a voice as they and the parent she is defending navigate the muddy waters of divorce and visitation.
